It's been a bit since I wrote the last post.  There have been some upheavals, which is part of life, but they do tend to occupy our time and our thoughts.

We did get our house on the market and since my real estate license is currently inactive, we had to look for one here.  We found a great one and she listened to us, looked at my market analysis that I did and we both came up with a price point that was almost the same.  So we felt good about the relationship beginning and are praying that God shows us the right place to be when it sells. Shout out to Lynn Yaklin with Coldwell Banker Pacesetter Steel for her professionalism and her willingness to work with us.

Unfortunately, on the 11th, my dad called about 9:30 that evening to tell us that Mom had fallen and probably had a broken hip.  So we quickly threw some things together and drove 4 1/2 hours to Katy where they took her to the ER.  We got in about 2:30 on Saturday morning and stayed until they finally got her into a room in SICU and determined what the course of action needed to be.  She did have surgery on Sunday morning and then was taken back to SICU.  She was released on Wednesday and taken to a rehabilitation unit at Kruse Village in Brenham.  She will probably be in the rehab unit for a month or so, depending on how she does.  The Alzheimer's definitely has a significant effect on how she responds.  There are several nurses, aides, and physical therapy personnel that were here last year when she was here after the cruise fiasco in February.

So now the question is - what do I write about today?  I am going back to one of the topics I love - wildlife.  This is going to be a photographic post rather than words.  Pictures I have taken in the last few months that are of all different kinds of creatures.  Hope you enjoy.
